IRISÉS A LA BOMBE Elisa Fantozzi is a French artist currently living in Sète - who shared her life between New York and the South of France. She develops, models and fictions her objects – turning them into artefacts. Often, she creates or recreates possible worlds, declaiming a story, arising new intrigues, giving them the opportunity to become alternatives to the reality. The “Irisés A la Bombe” series is raising the question of our relationship to living entities. The artists’ gesture (through enlightening the objects she sprays) ends up changing the objects’ status. The plant becomes art and enters the infinite world, but by doing so, has to die. This process then puts in evidence all the relationships between wealth production and nature, interrogating our aesthetic perception of this very same mother nature.
